POSTIE is in the midst of an almost daily attack by a frenzied pheasant.
Mark Brough, 49, said the bird tried to bite his ankle as soon as he showed up with a delivery.
It is unknown who owns it but they were bred locally for ornamental purposes.
“It caused mayhem,” says Mark. It will notify me as soon as I arrive. The only way I could escape with my ankle intact was to take my bag and put it away.
“I will have a meeting most days. It just keeps hitting people.”
Locals in Cheddleton, Staffs, say the wild bird used a small road as its territory.
Chris Stubbs, 35, said: “It’s always been there. Mark gets it from him every day. ”
