Popular Trader Joe’s item removed from website but shoppers are complaining about another ‘unforgivable’ change
TRADER Joe’s fans love the unique products on offer and understand that some of the products won’t be available forever.
Part of the fun of shopping at TJ’s is finding new products that you most likely won’t find anywhere else.
The other side of this coin is accepting that some of the old ones will have to go to make room for these new items.
It’s never easy to part with a snack you’ve become obsessed with.
Shoppers regularly take to Twitter to vent their frustration in hopes of getting TJ’s attention and refilling the snack.
Michael Schneider tweeted: “Warning: This is an anger tweet towards Trader Joe”
“TRADER JOE’S WHY DID YOU NOT ORDER ENOUGH UBE PANCAKE MIX – ALL YOUR STORES ARE ALREADY SOLD OUT. Rookie mistake TJs!!”
The Ube Pancake Mix was only available for a limited time in 2020 and is currently listed as unavailable on TJ’s website.
Another Twitter user piggybacked on Michael’s testimony and voiced his own grievances towards the company.
Melanie McFarland tweeted: “Age. Make your own damn pancakes. If you want to tweet angry at TJ’s, do it for something unforgivable like dropping their mojito simmer sauce.”
Simmer Sauces came in multiple flavors at TJ’s and fans became obsessed.
Shoppers enjoyed curry, Thai and masala flavors to name a few.
The sauce has been talked about on Twitter since 2009 and the hype doesn’t seem to be abating.
CHANGES BY TRADER JOE
While this is common, it never gets easier for buyers.
Last year, the store discontinued the Creamy Salted Cashew Butter.
After not being able to find it at his local TJ in the Midwest, a customer turned to Reddit for answers.
One user replied, “I was also informed that cashew butter has been discontinued at a TJ in Grand Rapids. I am devastated!!! My daughter is allergic to peanuts and this is the only nut butter she eats.
“She literally cried in the store when the clerk told her they were out of cashew butter.”
For further confirmation, a local store employee confirmed to The US Sun that Trader Joe’s no longer makes cashew butter.
The store also confirmed that it has discontinued its salsa verde-flavored tortilla chips.
The chain has actually been giving away bags of chips for the past few weeks to get rid of overstock.
Writing about the move online, one fan said: “No way. It’s the absolute best chip!! How can you hire him?!!!”
“They discontinued the salsa verde tortilla chips at Trader Joe’s…WE RIDE AT DAWN,” another said on Twitter.
We’ve rounded up five Trader Joe’s desserts that are gone but not forgotten.
