Police Investigate After Several Shootings in the North – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – At least two people were shot overnight on Pittsburgh’s North Side.

Pittsburgh police say a man entered Allegheny General Hospital with a gunshot to the leg.

According to police, the man was in stable condition upon arrival just after 11pm on Sunday.

Not long after, police received a 911 call about another man calling for help near the intersection of Island Avenue and Preble Avenue on the North Side — right along the Ohio River.

Police say they found the victim after he got into the river and he was shot multiple times.

Staff members helped the man until EMS arrived, and he was later taken to Allegheny General Hospital in a critical condition.

Investigators are still working to determine where these shootings took place and whether the incidents are related.

Police have not shared the ages of the two injured men.
