Police arrest Kittanning-area man accused of assaulting a woman – CBS Pittsburgh

KITTANNING (KDKA) – Kittanning Borough announced the arrest of a man accused of slapping a woman in the face and keeping her in his home.

At about 2:30 a.m. Saturday, an officer was flagged down by a woman in distress, police said. She told the officer that Zachary Baum assaulted her at his home.
After investigation, it was determined that Baum slapped the woman in the face, restrained her, and did not let her leave the property or call for help.

Later that morning, the Kittanning Area Police, the Armstrong County Sheriff, and the North Buffalo Township Police all served warrants to search Baum’s residence and take him into custody.
He is facing charges of unlawful restraint, victim intimidation, assault, harassment and criminal conduct.

Baum was reassigned and is currently being held at the Armstrong County Jail.
