‘Ronaldo is not a top professional’

Cristiano Ronaldo is by no means a top professional footballer – although footage of him celebrating topless would suggest nothing.

That is the stunning claim of Manchester United legend Paul Parker, who thinks his old club need to get rid of the aging star.

Ronaldo is 36 years old and still scoring after returning to Old Trafford last summer.

But Parker said CR7’s return in the famous red shirt has put too much pressure on teammates.

Parker said to allegations: “I wouldn’t say he’s a top professional.

“Right away they couldn’t help but talk about how he changed his diet and the players because of this, he eats this and he eats that.

“So what, everyone is different, everyone’s metabolism is different, your mindset is different, the way you approach things, the way you practice with the game, it’s all different.

“So I think Ronaldo’s arrival has put people under pressure, sold a lot of shirts, that’s a wise PR for the club.

“I think it also affects the mindset of a lot of other players. It’s about being a top player, and being a top professional, and Ronaldo is a top player, he proves it. “

“But suddenly, look at what he’s doing, look at what he’s got. It’s great what he has, it’s amazing.

“But I’m different, I like to think I’m different, and I’m going to do that, start doing it my way, and so that puts pressure on a lot of players.

“So it didn’t play out on the field with him on the field.”
