PM holds Cobra meeting on ‘horrific attacks’ in Ukraine as country enters state of emergency

Prime Minister Boris Johnson will hold a Cobra meeting on the “horrifying attacks” in Ukraine overnight, and has warned Vladimir Putin has chosen a “bloody path” after declaring war on the nation have sovereignty.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister wrote: “I appalled at the horrifying events in Ukraine and I spoke with President Zelenskyy to discuss next steps.

“The UK and our allies will respond decisively.”

While, Ukraine has introduced urgent measures and asked its citizens in Russia to flee the country amid fears of a large-scale invasion by President Vladimir Putin’s military.
