Hospitality being ‘destroyed’
Adam Brooks, at The Three Colts in Buckhurst Hill, Essex, added: “The latest restrictions and fears have destroyed hospitality at our busiest time.
“With work frenzy from stay-at-home rules, why don’t workers unite in turning our pub into their office?”
Greg Mulholland of Pubs Advocacy added: “Whether people are hot desking in their local area or having a party in a pub, they’ll get plenty of feedback from hard-working civil servants and staff. rather than from ministers.”
And Lee Worsley, boss of Coach House Inn, Winterbourne Abbas and Kings Arms, Portesham, both in Dorset, is offering breakfast or lunch, hot drinks and five-hour workplaces for £15.
“It is worth taking advantage of these dry rules to spend some time with the friendly and welcoming staff of a pub,” he says.
“Working alone for long hours can be negative for your mental health. Working from a pub can help you – and a local business. ”
