Pittsburgh Morrow PreK-8 Deputy Principal Accused of Pushing Students – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — The acting director of Pittsburgh Morrow PreK-8 is on administrative leave pending the results of an investigation, sources told KDKA-TV.
Sources say Anthony Pipkin is accused of pushing a student into the school.

Pittsburgh Public Schools released a statement Friday saying:
“The District is reviewing the allegations and will not comment further as this is a personnel matter.”
BREAKING Source confirms that the acting principal of Pittsburgh Public School’s Morrow Pre-k through 8 is on administrative leave pending the results of an investigation. The source tells me that he is accused of pushing a student into the school. @KDKA

Ronald Castaphey’s daughter is a third grader at the school. He only had good things to say about Pipkin.

“As far as I know, it’s not his character,” Castaphey said. “He was always nice to all the students. I have never had any complaints from my children.”
“He was here yesterday,” Castaphey said on Friday.
Sources would not say the circumstances leading up to the incident, the student’s age or whether the student was injured.

“Until you’re actually proven guilty, he’s innocent, that really happened,” said Andrew Carnes of Pittsburgh. “Hopefully he comes out on the other side. … I hope for the best.”
