PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Plans for a Hyperloop stop in Pittsburgh are more uncertain as the company behind the proposed project has to lay off its staff.
The Financial Times reports that Virgin Hyperloop is laying off 100 workers. The company will also shift its focus from passenger to freight transport.
Pittsburgh was one of several cities listed on a proposed route to Chicago via Columbus, Ohio that Virgin was working on.
