Gunners-mad Morgan raged on Twitter Monday night after watching Jean-Philippe Mateta, Jordan Ayew and Wilfried Zaha put his beloved team to the sword.

And the shock result could have major implications for the race for the top four.

Morgan, 57, dug in tweet He posted in October when Lacazette scored in the 95th minute to salvage a point at home against the Eagles.

He captioned a photo with Vieira that night: “We have the wrong ex-Arsenal captain in charge. Based on tonight’s evidence, this is the guy we need.”

Yesterday, after another Vieira masterclass this season to take ninth place, he retweeted himself and added: “Deja vu.”

In a series of other angry comments, Morgan also lashed out at Arsenal’s lack of intensity and Lacazette’s lack of goals.

He added: “Vieira’s palace teaches us a lesson in aggression, desire and physicality. The least surprising revelation of the millennium.

“BREAKING: Lacazette has now played 18 HOURS of Premier League football without scoring in open play. But yeah, I’m so glad we got rid of Aubameyang.”

He also retweeted his son Spencer, who wrote: “I’m left footed and can be at the Palace in time for the second half. Surely can’t do worse than [Nuno] Tavares”, after 45 minutes of the left-back’s nightmare.

Morgan added, “I’ll pay for the cab.”

And finally, The Sun columnist shared a picture of a dejected Arteta and quoted the Spaniard as saying, “‘Trust the process.'”

The crushing defeat leaves Arsenal fifth in the Premier League table, level on points with rivals Tottenham.

The Gunners have a game in hand but face a trip to Spurs near the end of the season.

Arteta blasted his players and the “unacceptable” performance.

He said: “It’s time to take the criticism, put your hands up and apologize because that performance wasn’t good enough for this club and then react.

“We are humble enough to accept the criticism. They don’t feel sorry for themselves because we lost players and a soccer game.

“Congratulations to Palace for the game they played but we made it impossible for ourselves with the way we started.

“You have to be physical and run and then you earn the right to play. We were really inconsistent on the ball and that’s unacceptable.

“Today we didn’t have the presence or the composure to control the situation, that’s what annoys me the most.

“Some days you’re not there and you’re late all the time. They upped the ante and had a good vibe and we couldn’t get out.”
