But who would Piers Morgan invite to his dream dinner? And which A-lister can knock down the most drinks? Here he reveals it all with 10 quick questions.

Lightest weight? Simon Cowell – his idea for a big night out these days is a vegan sausage roll and two pints of low-alcohol beer.

The best drinker? I was once drunk with George Clooney at a Vanity Fair party in Washington DC, where we drank vodka until it nearly drowned. He is a smiley person.

The most embarrassing encounter? I spent five minutes at the 2020 Oscars party congratulating a surprised David Schwimmer on the success of the Friends reunion – only to later discover it was his good looks, Dylan McDermott. Do authentication.

Worst celebrity kiss? Peter Andre inciting me to go live on Good Morning Britain is a low-key career.

Best night out? Cristiano Ronaldo, one of my all-time sports heroes, took me and my eldest son Spencer to a hearty 4-hour meal in Turin after I interviewed him. A very special night.

Worst night out? 2004 British Press Award when Jeremy Clarkson punched me in the head. The only advantage is that he broke a finger while doing it.

Biggest bar/dinner bill? When my wonderful, late manager, John Ferriter, brought me into Larry King’s prime time slot at CNN, I took him out to dinner at a steakhouse called Cut in Beverly Hills, where we drank a bottle of Chateau Latour in 1961, the finest wine ever made. I had to pay over $10,000 but I promised him we would do it if he reneged on the deal and my word of wine was my relationship.

Celebrities are least likely to put their hands in their pockets? I heard Madonna is so mean with money, her wallet has to be opened with a chainsaw.

The most famous name in the phone book? Donald Trump.
