Reacting to comments, The Sun Piers Morgan tweeted: “WTF? This is crazy. Isn’t the extermination of 6 million Jews because of race???

“Are there any rock stars or traitorous royals now boycotting Whoopi Goldberg and/or ABC for this dangerous misinformation?”

Goldbergyour comment came only a few days later Holocaust Remembrance Day in memory of the six million people who have died.

Opinion Monday’s program discussed the recent scandal after a Tennessee school board voted to remove the Pulitzer Prize-winning graphic novel Maus from the eighth-grade literature curriculum.

The book depicts Jews who were tortured and murdered by the Nazis during World War II.

The board has declared that the book is inappropriate because of bad language and nude depictions of women.

It was dropped from the school’s curriculum after months of increased pressure from parents in several districts for books that focused on issues of race, gender identity and sexuality.

“I’m surprised that’s what makes you uncomfortable, the fact that there’s some nudity. I mean, it was about the Holocaust, which killed 6 million people, but doesn’t that bother you? ‘ Goldberg asked.

“Well, here is the white man doing it to the white man. All of you, let’s fight together. “

The co-hosts agreed with the actress that there was a “mistake” that kept the kids unprepared for the “real world”.

“Look at what kids watch these days and the music they listen to,” says Sara Haines.

“To say that showing them a piece of art or history that happened is bad language or nudity?

“Turn off reality TV, turn off the radio, turn off everything they’re doing because kids are exposed to these things really early in inappropriate situations, not where you’re learning or teaching.”

While these early comments did not initially attract the anger of her co-hosts, Goldberg later reverted to her hypothesis that the Holocaust, was sparked by belief in a “racial race.” owner” and desire “racial purity”, not about race.

“If you’re going to do this, then be honest about it,” says Goldberg.

“Because the Holocaust isn’t about race. No, it’s not about race.”

Co-host Joy Behar hit back: “Then what is it about?”

“It’s about man’s inhumanity to man,” Goldberg replied, once again insisting Adolf Hitler’s “Final Solution” is not about race.

“That’s what it’s about.”

‘Skin moisturizer’

Another co-host, Ana Navarro interjected, arguing that the Holocaust focused on white supremacy.

“Well, it’s about white supremacy. That’s the thing. It’s about hunting down Jews and gypsies,” she told Goldberg.

“But these are two groups of white people,” Goldberg replied.

“You’re missing the point,” she continued.

“The minute you turn it into a race, it goes down this alley.

“Let’s talk about it for what it is. It’s the way people treat each other. It’s a problem.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re black or white because black, white, Jew… everyone cannibalize each other.”

“So if you’re uncomfortable hearing about Maus, should you be concerned, should your child say, ‘God, I wonder if that’s me?'” Goldberg then asked.

“No! That’s not what they would say

“They’ll say, ‘I don’t want that.’ Most kids, they don’t want to be cruel.”

COMMENT

Navarro continued to argue, however, noting that it was essential for children to learn about the Holocaust.

She highlighted how some are comparing the way yellow stars were used to identify Jews during the Holocaust with the need to show vaccination status against Covid.

“We live in an age where people want to compare vaccine tags with yellow stars to compare vaccinations to what Anne Frank Navarro said.

Goldberg re-emphasized “to learn about the inhumanity of man to man,” before sending the show to the premiere.

The actress later apologized and said she “stood to correct the mistake”.

She tweeted: “The Holocaust is about the systematic extermination of the Jews by Nazi Germany – who they consider an inferior race. I correct.

“Jews around the world have always had my support and it will never give up. I’m sorry for the hurt I’ve caused.”

But Goldberg appeared to back up her apology during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

“I feel, being black, when we talk about race, it’s a very different thing for me,” she explained.

“So I said that I think the Holocaust has nothing to do with race.

“And it made people very angry. I received a lot of letters from people and was very angry.

“But I think it’s an outstanding discussion because as a black person, I think race is something that I can see.”

She continued: “When you talk about being a racist, you can’t call this racist.

“This is evil. This is not based on skin. You can’t tell who a Jew is.

“You have to dig deep and figure it out. My point is: they have to do the job.

“If the Klan is walking down the street and I’m standing with a Jewish friend: I’ll run.

“But if my friends decide not to run, they get overtaken most of the times.

“Because you can’t tell who a Jew is. You don’t know.”

The actress was hit online for Monday’s comments.

Michael Rappaport posted a video of him taking out Goldberg.

“Whoopi Goldberg, love you guys a big fan – you went on your show and said the Holocaust wasn’t about race,” he said.

“That’s right! It’s all and only about race! It’s about ‘killing Jews. They’re not white, they’re Jews.”

Former View co-host Meghan McCain, who left the show after feeling marginalized by her Conservative views, posted: “Anti-Semitism is a cancer and a poison increasingly excused in our culture and television – and pervading spaces that might shock us all.”

One Twitter user said: “Absolute ignorance of the non-Jewish world, encouraged by the mainstream media when it comes to understanding of the Holocaust.”

“Open a book godd**n.”

“Whoopi Goldberg tries to ‘All lives matter’… Massacre,” another wrote.

One user commented: “Some Holocaust education would give Whoopi a good world.”
