Ronaldo, 37, has been heavily criticized in recent months for trying to force a transfer exit from Old Trafford.

But after staying at Manchester, he continued to rush his time at the club under pressure by refusing to come on as a late substitute against Tottenham – and then left the stadium before full-time.

After being suspended and fined, SunSport revealed he has no more allies at the club and may never play in a United shirt again.

The Red Devils could be open to letting Ronaldo go in January.

However, one of the doubts was whether they could find a buyer after failing to secure a summer move.

But SunSport columnist Morgan dismissed those suggestions – claiming Ronaldo had an offer from the Middle East but turning it down.

He tweeted: “More lies leaked by United management to harm it…

“@Cristiano received a €130m offer to play in Saudi Arabia for a season but turned it down.

“Ten Hag tries to lecture @Cristiano on standards and values while intentionally humiliating him… what a joke.

“One is the greatest footballer of all time and a champion in 4 countries… the other was a top player and barely won a conker fight as a manager outside of the Netherlands.”

Earlier this week he added: “I think the collective disrespect towards Cristiano from his manager and many Utd fans after everything he has done for your club, not least last season, is shameful. There’s my opinion.”

Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Napoli and Juventus were among the Champions League sides who decided against a transfer.

Meanwhile, Saudi club Al-Hilal claimed their mega-money move for the five-time Ballon d’Or winners only fell through because of a transfer ban.

Chelsea are also linked with a shock to Ronaldo in January.

However, should United heed Gary Neville’s advice and end the No7’s contract early to get him out of the club, it would cost them £10m.
