Tim Schofield – who has appeared on This Morning and was previously given behind-the-scenes access to Dancing on Ice, both presented by his brother – is said to have carried out the attacks while working for Avon and Somerset Police.

The most serious charge involved a sexual act with the teenager.

Other alleged offenses include forcing the child to view and observe pornography while “engaging in sexual activity.”

The alleged crimes took place between October 2016 and October 2019.

The boy didn’t come forward until around five years later and is said to have confided in This Morning star Phillip, who helped him report it to the police.

A court today heard how “shocked” Phillip Schofield replied: “What did you just say?” after his brother confessed to a sex act with a teenager.

Timothy went to Phil’s home on September 12, 2021 and admitted he had “time” with the teen where they watched porn and had sex together.

This Morning star Phillip replied: “What the hell is time? That must never happen again.”

Peter Stellard opened the case for prosecutors, saying: “The defendant is seven years younger than Phillip and they had not grown up particularly close, but in December 2019 the defendant told his brother he was gay.

“According to Phillip, the defendant arrived on that day [September 2021] and he was very excited.

“His brother described him as very angry and desperate. The defendant also told his brother that he was impotent.

“The defendant then said his brother would hate him for what he was about to say, his brother said he wouldn’t and then the defendant said he had their time together and last year they watched porn and w **** * together.”

The judge, Ms. Judge Johanna Cutts, spoke to the jury to warn them not to be distracted by Phillip Schofield’s celebrity status.

Timothy Schofield had arrived at Exeter Crown Court on Monday wearing a face mask and a jacket over his head to avoid being photographed.

The married man looked scruffy in an open-necked shirt, baseball cap and gray pants and walked boldly into the Court 1 dock, flanked by two security guards.

Schofield, from Bath, Somerset, shook his head as charges were read out against him, all of which he denies.
