Phillip Schofield pictured with young lover at event alongside Holly as insider says the relationship was ‘weird’ right away

PHILLIP Schofield was pictured with the young male aide at the center of the scandal back in 2018 while hosting a This Morning Live event.
The disgraced star was seen with the ITV runner, with whom he had an affair behind his wife’s back, and co-host Holly Willoughby.
According to staff sources, his proximity to the assistant caused a stir, as he insisted that only he would help with his wardrobe and food.
A source said: “It was strange – all of a sudden this new young hire was glued to Phillip’s side.
“It was made clear to all other staff that he was Phillip’s chosen advisor – although Phillip was quite aggressive towards him at times.”
This comes at a time when an ITV boss has broken his silence and claimed This Morning could be shut down in the wake of the Phillip Schofield scandal.
Kevin Lygo, the network’s director of television, today denied that an investigation into the presenter’s affair with a teenage colleague had been botched.
At the request of Sky news When mistakes were made in the investigation, conducted by ITV in 2020, he simply replied: “No.”
This is despite claims eight stars have previously complained about the relationship and Schofield’s “toxic” behavior.
Boss Kevin declined to comment further on the matter, saying only, “Honestly, we issued a statement today.” [and] yesterday. I think it’s all clear.
The TV network had previously stated that it had “no plans” to take “This Morning” off the air.
Schofield initially left the show, which he hosted for 21 years, over a growing feud with his girlfriend and co-star Holly Willoughby.
His departure was also fueled by the fact that his brother Tim was outed as Peado.
Just six days later, he made a bombastic reveal about the “amicable on-off relationship” – leaving him with no choice but to quit ITV altogether.
ITV said no one employed by the daytime show knew about the affair as Schofield “lied to everyone”.
On Saturday, a spokesman said: “Following our statement last night, ITV can confirm that ITV investigated when rumors of a relationship between Phillip Schofield and an ITV employee first began to circulate in early 2021.
“Both parties were questioned and repeatedly categorically denied the rumours, as did Phillip’s then-agency YMU.”
“In addition, ITV has spoken to a number of people who worked on This Morning and no evidence of a relationship beyond hearsay and rumor has been received or found.”
“Phillip’s statement yesterday reveals he has lied to people at ITV, from senior management to other presenters, the YMU, the media and others, about this relationship.”
