Philadelphia Water Department workers facing charges after shooting during road rage incident

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Two Philadelphia Water Division staff are dealing with expenses in reference to an obvious highway rage capturing incident on Tuesday.

In accordance with investigators, a PWD automobile and one other automobile had been concerned in a crash at about 9:40 a.m. at twenty fourth Road and Passyunk Avenue. The crash prompted harm to the driving force’s aspect mirror.

The drivers of each automobiles acquired out of the automobiles and began to bodily combat.

The passenger of the PWD automobile took out a gun and fired one shot on the different particular person’s automobile, police stated. The shot hit the automobile’s driver’s aspect mirror.

The PWD automobile left the scene and was later stopped by police on the 3000 block of South 61st Road.

The automobile was held and the staff had been detained, police stated.

On Wednesday, the Philadelphia District Lawyer’s Workplace introduced expenses towards 36-year-old Rafael Thomas and 30-year-old William Stewart who’re each employed by the Philadelphia Water Division.


Thomas and Stewart are dealing with a slew of expenses together with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and possession of an instrument of crime.
