Pep Guardiola attacks at Prem bosses as he has to miss Masters on TV to manage Man City v Liverpool

DONE Pep Guardiola lashed out at Prem bosses in tomorrow’s title showdown… as it clashed with The Masters Golf.
His Manchester City team welcomes rivals Liverpool from 4.30 p.m. – the finals are taking place in Augusta at the same time.

Pep, a big golf fan, said: “I’m looking forward to Sunday but Saturday would be better.
“I’m a bit upset with the Premier League as they have the game set for Tiger Woods’ return!”
Questioned about his rivalry with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, he will never be forgotten – even when he’s retired and on the golf course.
He said: “I will remember my time here when I watch and play golf. I will surely remember that my biggest rival was Liverpool.
“Absolutely, we wouldn’t be that good, but for them, after 100 points, with 98 and they’re right behind you, you have someone pushing you, you have to take another step.”
Meanwhile, Guardiola has also dismissed reports he is set to leave the Etihad – insisting he wants to stay at the club for the next decade despite not signing a new contract yet.
His current contract expires in the summer of 2023 and the former Barcelona manager has said a lot will depend on how he feels in the first few months of next season.
The Brazilian national team are said to be interested in signing Guardiola to replace their boss Tite.
But Pep declared ahead of the crunch match with Liverpool: “I’m so happy here”.
“I’m willing to stay here forever because there can’t be a better place. I would extend the contract by ten years – although I could not.”
