People think I’m crazy when they see my pet – it’s an exercise in trust being so close to a fearsome wild animal

A PET owner has revealed an intimate moment she shared with her giant bouquet that unlocked a new level of trust.
TikToker Wendy Adriaens shares videos about taking care of the big birds on her farm in Belgium.
in one clip Posted on TikTok, Adriaens, which can be found at @wendy_adriaenscaptured the exact moment one of her exotic pets became a close friend.
The keeper sat in front of the bird named Flodder and lightly touched his feet with hers.
She said he usually freaks out and is uncomfortable to the touch, but this time he had a very different interaction.
This time he moved immediately, but instead of getting up to leave, he leaned his body forward and laid his whole body on top of hers in an amazing act of trust.

The ostrich lover was so thrilled that she captured the moment on camera, filming a side profile of the pair relaxing together in the sun and hugging.
“So proud,” she said while giving Flodder a few light pats.
The video, released in 2020, garnered over 350,000 likes as viewers were smitten with the intimate moment.
Some found the video incredible, others thought being so comfortable with a wild, aggressive bird was a bad idea.
“It’s a beautiful trust,” said one bird lover.
Another person joked, saying next to a cute emoji, “When you cuddle a real dinosaur.”
One person asked if the ostriches would be used for anything other than just companionship, and Adrieans replied that they were rescued ostriches and are now considered friends.
“Now people come here to do photoshoots and hugs, but that was never planned,” she replied. “People just love her, so I can’t keep her to myself anymore.”
Tragically, a few years later, Wendy announced that Flodder had died from an obstruction in his gizzard.
“This is a condition that’s more common in ostriches, but develops without symptoms over months,” she said in a heartbreaking May 11 post.
“Once symptoms appear, it is often too late.
“We thank everyone for wishing for his recovery.

“He will be cremated with dignity this weekend and will forever have a place here on the farm and in many hearts.”
