PENN HILLS (KDKA) – The owner of a Penn Hills home needed to be taken to hospital following an early morning fire.

Just before 8:30 a.m. this morning, a fire broke out at a house at 100 Old Barn Drive, causing extensive damage.
The owner of the house had to be taken to the hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation.

Their status is unknown.
Penn Hills Fire Police are investigating the cause.
