PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A portion of McKnight Road is closed after an accident between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Wednesday.

The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, police said. Authorities added that the driver does not suspect third-party negligence or being intoxicated.
Ross Township Police said southbound McKnight Road was closed at the Babcock Boulevard exit and southbound traffic was being diverted onto Babcock Boulevard.

“Access to McKnight Road South is also closed to Nelson Run Road. Please find an alternative route.￼Drive safely,” police said in a Facebook post.
The police are investigating.
