‘Party Down’ returns to Starz

The cast and creative team for the beloved (but short-lived) Starz series, about a group of caterers in Los Angeles who await their “big break” in Hollywood, will reunited for a new part, the network announced on Tuesday.

Executive producer Rob Thomas, Paul RuddJohn Enbom, Dan Etheridge and Adam Scott will direct the revival, which is expected to bring in multiple actors.

In addition to Scott, Ken Marino, Jane Lynch, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen and Megan Mullally will reprise their roles.

The new edition will consist of six volumes, half an hour.

“After more than 10 years, we’re thrilled to have the cast, many of whom are now hugely popular award-winning stars, back wearing pink bows and back to the party,” Jeffrey said. Hirsch, president and chief executive officer at Starz, said in a statement. “The fan demand for a ‘Party Down’ revival has been clear and we’re looking forward to what Rob, Paul, John, Dan and now Adam will do as they bring this special project and these hilarious characters come to life.”

“Party Down” aired for two seasons 2009 and 2010.

The revival is expected to begin production next year.
