US police say a man has died after a hit-and-run on Suitland Parkway.
Officials say they responded to a reported hit around 3:30 a.m. and ran down the parkway in the Naylor Road area.
A park police spokesman told WTOP that an adult male was dead at the scene.
The accident investigation caused a shutdown along the Suitland Parkway, diverting westbound traffic to Branch Avenue and eastbound drivers to Alabama Avenue.
