Why did Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan initially have a fight?

The drama began on May 16, 2006 at Hyde Nightclub in Los Angeles, California when Lohan and Hilton were seen having an argument.

During this time, Lohan was reportedly dating Hilton’s ex, Stavros Niarchos.

Therefore, it is primarily speculated that the disagreement had to do with Niarchos.

As E! News reported days after the nightclub incident, Hilton’s boyfriend Brandon Davis made offensive comments about Lohan while Hilton held a phone to her ear and laughed in the background.

A video of the exchange went viral.

What happened to Paris and Lindsay after the video was leaked?

Hilton Publicist Elliot Mintz said in a statement to TMZ, “The only thing I want to stress is that the person who made these statements was not Paris Hilton.

He then added that Paris was using her phone as a “defence tool,” saying, “Reporters were asking her questions about Lindsay that she didn’t want to answer, so she put her phone to her ear. Brandon did not speak for Paris. Period.”

A week after the incident, Davis issued a public apology.

He told Page Six: “What started out as a joke was completely swept up. I am appalled at the words that came out of my mouth.”

In a 2006 interview with Elle, Lohan said she hadn’t seen the video and made it clear she had no intention of ever seeing it.

She also dug up Hilton for her infamous sextape, saying that Davis and Hilton continued to harass her after the video went viral.

She also claimed Hilton exchanged words at a club after Lohan spoke to Niarchos on the phone.

However, Lohan reportedly wouldn’t call the situation a love triangle, saying, “I would never fight a girl over a guy; it is bad karma.”

In November 2006, Lohan reportedly called Hilton “C***” on camera.

However, she denied the allegations and referred to Hilton as her “friend.”

Throughout the remainder of 2006 and throughout 2007, the two continued to trade public jabs while also hanging out during their friendship times.

Throughout 2008, the two were seen spending time together.

Drama erupted again in May 2011 when Hilton spoke about Lohan on her Oxygen reality show, The World After Paris.

Then, in December 2013, drama resumed after Hilton’s brother was attacked at Art Basel in Miami and Lohan was falsely accused.
