Liverpool’s pursuit of Jude Bellingham has been agreed by Owen Hargreaves, who insists Premier League the club should sign wonderkid “whatever price he has”.
Bellingham, 18, continues to prove why he is arguably Europe’s most exciting young player with his stellar midfield performance for Borussia Dortmund.
The England international has contributed three goals and nine assists this season, with his performances in Champions League especially eye-catching though Dortmund could not make it to the round of 16.
Hargreaves claims the former Birmingham City star will be a great asset “for a decade” and believes he can prove a better buy than his teammates Erling Haaland.

Referring to Bellingham’s performance in last season’s Champions League quarter-finals, says Hargreaves BT Sport : “First, against Man City, he was the best midfielder on the pitch with Kevin De Bruyne out there, which is crazy.
“People are talking about Haaland, ‘spending money on Haaland’, and rightly so. But, honestly, if I were a big team in England – Man United, Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea – that’s the guy (Bellingham) that you go and get.
“It’s been the heart of your midfield for a decade. Whatever the cost, make it happen because he’s special.”
Hargreaves hinted that Liverpool’s Premier League rivals prioritize a move to Haaland as the striker in fine form continues to steal goals at an alarming rate.
Indeed, the Reds hope this fixation on the Norwegian can help them provide a boost for Bellingham to bolster their options in the heart of the park.
United are among a number of people pursuing Bellingham after he rose through the ranks at Birmingham and even into stardom. met Sir Alex Ferguson on a tour their Carrington training ground in early 2020.

They delivered on their promise and the player went from strength to strength during his first year and a half in Germany.
Bellingham is contracted to Westfalenstadion until 2025, while Birmingham are monitoring his situation closely due to the attractive resale clause included in his transfer last year.
