Our three children were killed by a drunk driver but we forgave him

A COUPLE has forgiven the drunk driver who killed their three children – and revealed they were expecting another.
Leila and Danny Abdallah lost their two daughters and son on February 1, 2020 when a 4×4 crashed into a group of young people in the western suburbs of Sydney, Oatlands, Australia.
Sisters Angelina and Sienna, aged 12 and 9, and brother Antony, 13, died after being hit in the womb while shopping for ice cream with friends.
Cousin Veronique Sakr, 11, was also killed in the horrific crash.
The husband and wife have publicly forgave the drunk driver who took their three children.
Together they launched i4Give Day on February 1 of this year to urge others to find someone to forgive like they did.
They said, “Our four children are now our four saints and this day is for them. Forgiveness is the greatest gift you can give yourself and others.
“The more you practice, the better you become and it allows you to live in peace and heal. Forgive the forgiven more than the forgiven.”
Now, the couple say they have reason to hope again.
On Wednesday, Leila announced on Instagram that she is pregnant.
“God has blessed us with a gift from above,” the 37-year-old said with a praying two-handed emoji.
‘A NEW LIFE’
Leilia and Danny say the arrival of another baby marks a new beginning for their family.
“We dare to dream again,” she told the Daily Telegraph. “My children pray they can have another brother/sister.”
“This is a new life, a new beginning for the kids, it’s given them a new purpose in life.”
On Thursday morning, she shared a series of photos with her children on Facebook.
“My princess and inspiration, Liana. Love you guys so much,” she wrote.
“You will become a great sister.”
The man who killed 4 children was found to be driving abnormally, speeding while drunk and high on drugs when he lost control.
Samuel William Davidson, 31, was sentenced to 28 years in prison but plans to appeal the sentence.
A hearing has been set for May 2022.
