Ontario reports 512 new COVID-19 cases, 12 more deaths

Ontario is reporting new 512 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, bringing the province’s total to 608,718.

Of the 512 new cases recorded, the figures show 250 unvaccinated, 19 partially vaccinated, 202 fully vaccinated and 41 with unknown vaccination status.

Active cases in Ontario currently stand at 4,741.

The government said 28,931 tests were processed in the previous 24 hours. There are 12,473 tests currently under investigation.

The positivity of the test remains at 2.5%. Last week, the test’s positivity was 3.1%.

Ontario reported 274 people in general hospital wards with COVID-19 (down 25 people from the previous day) with 133 patients in the intensive care unit (down six) and 108 patients in the ward. ventilatory intensive care (reduced by four).

For general hospitals with COVID, 92 were unvaccinated, 16 partially vaccinated, and 68 fully vaccinated. As for those in the ICU, 62 were unvaccinated while 4 were partially vaccinated and 19 were fully vaccinated.
