NEW SEWICKLEY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A fatal crash closed westbound lanes of the Pennsylvania turn.
State police told KDKA that multiple vehicles were involved in the crash, as well as a pedestrian, and one person was killed.
The westbound lanes between Cranberry and New Castle will be closed for at least three hours as police and first responders clear the scene.

Traffic is being cut off from the Cranberry exit and motorists will be able to return to the Turnpike at New Castle Junction.
PennDOT provided the following detour details:
- Take Interstate 79 North, take West 422, take I-376 East (former 60 South).
- This will bring you to the New Castle Junction (10).
- Re-enter PA Turnpike at New Castle Interchange (10).
- Follow the signs to Ohio and West.
The crash happened just before 3:00 a.m. near the mile 20 marker.
