One person died and two were hospitalized in Norfolk, Virginia as police officers rushed to the scene

ONE person is dead and two hospitalized as police officers respond at MacArthur Mall in Norfolk, Virginia.

The Norfolk Police Department have provided an update through their Twitter account saying a woman has been pronounced dead.

“Two women were brought to SNGH with NLT injuries. The call came in at around 6:25 p.m. Please avoid the area while #NPD examined.”

Several people took to Twitter to share reports of the shooting.

A person shared a photo by rapper B Simone, who appears to be hiding during filming.

“There was a shooting at the MacArthur mall. My mom just got released because they locked the customers in the store smh,” wrote another Twitter user.

The investigations are ongoing.
