Okay&L Gates Donates 75 Bushes To Be Planted In Mellon Sq. Park – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — New life is coming to Mellon Park.
The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy is planting 75 new bushes there.
On Monday, they added a Sweetbay Magnolia Tree.
The Conservancy is working with Okay&L Gates on the challenge. The corporate donated the bushes in honor of its seventy fifth anniversary.
“It’s fantastic to have the ability to stroll across the many parks that exist within the inexperienced areas and it’s a time when individuals can come have lunch, or simply take a break from work, and to have the ability to sit within the shade and see stunning flowers and bushes is an excellent factor, and we’re completely satisfied to contribute to that,” mentioned Thomas J. Smith.
Okay&L Gates will proceed to work with the Parks Conservancy over the following 12 months to plant the remaining bushes.
