“I wanted to thank everyone who has been with me in these last three seasons that I have spent here, there have been beautiful moments but also moments that have not been so easy, sometimes football doesn’t go the way we imagined have, but because you get thick skin to prepare you for any situation.

“I’ve cried, laughed, made friends and built a family here… I’m eternally grateful for this club that opened the doors for me here in Europe.

“I came here as a boy and left Brazil afraid of new challenges and I leave today as a man ready for whatever is to come!

“My decision to leave was not an easy one, but like I said, in football sometimes things don’t go the way we want them to. I feel like now is the time to face new challenges and go to a new home.

“I leave this letter here as a thank you to all the players, coaches and staff at the club! Thank you for everything you have done for me over the years!” ‘Now fly, I love you’
