NOTTINGHAM FOREST are ready to step in with a £10m bid for Huddersfield midfield dynamo Lewis O’Brien.
Steve Cooper’s Premier League newcomers have already primed a move for Terriers left-back Harry Toffolo, 26, and now they’re after the tenacious O’Brien.
Huddersfield will sell as 23-year-old O’Brien wants top-flight football and ironically lost to Forest in the play-off final.
O’Brien has been a long-term target for Leeds but they are looking at more expensive options this transfer window.
Jesse Marsch’s side are set to sell Kalvin Phillips to Manchester City for £45m.
The English ace has already completed his medical check with the reigning Prem champions.
Leeds reacted and signed Marc Roca from Bayern Munich.
They are also interested in RB Leipzig’s US international Tyler Adams.
Forest, meanwhile, has had an exciting start to the summer.
Taiwo Awoniyi came for a club-record fee from Union Berlin.
