Nintendo dominates list of Japan’s 100 most loved Console games of all time

‘This is the season for websites and media networks to begin post list end of the year, and Japan is no exception. Japanese cable network TV Asahi recently ran a show where they asked 50,000 viewers what their all-time favorite game was. The broadcast is aptly called “The 50,000 Users Poll: A National Poll of TV Gaming”.

The results of that poll were posted yesterday with the permission of Gamestalk.net (through the NintendoLife), and perhaps unsurprisingly Nintendo dominates the list. Four of the top ten games are Nintendo, and that percentage stays the same even if you go through the full 100 games.

Breath of the Wild takes the top spot, followed by Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride and then Final Fantasy 7 (no word on whether this will include a Remake). Animal Crossing: New Horizons took fourth place, while Splatoon 2 came in fifth.
