Nimona Cast, Synopsis, Release Date Predictions & More

Nimona Life! Netflix has revived the formerly canceled Blue Sky Studios film, based on ND Stevenson’s popular fantasy graphic novel. Nimona is a computer-animated fantasy adventure film that will now be released on Netflix after Disney closed the former animation studio.

We currently only know three of the film’s main cast, but I’m sure Netflix will announce more voice actors in the coming months.

• Chloë Grace Moretz will voice Nimona, the shapeshifter who becomes Ballister Blackheart’s sidekick
• Riz Ahmed voices Balister Blackheart, a former Knight of the Institution
• Eugene Lee Yang is Ambrosius Goldenloin, the Institution’s Champion Knight

A knight is framed for a crime he didn’t commit and the only person who can help him prove his innocence is Nimona, a shapeshifting teenager who may also be a monster he swore to kill . Set in a techno-medieval world that animation has never addressed before, this is a tale about the labels we associate with humans and the shapeshifter who refuses to be defined by anyone.

Nimona release date predictions

It’s hard to guess the release date for animated films. We know the movie will be out in 2023. When he was still at Blue Sky Studios, sources claimed the film was about 75% complete. Now that Netflix and Annapurna Pictures have teamed up to finish the film, it’s unclear if they’ll have to go back and fix/redo things, or if they’ll continue with what’s already done. DNEG Animation will animate the film. I assume that it will be released in the second quarter of 2023 at the earliest.

Is there a Nimona trailer?

There is no trailer for Nimona However, since news of Netflix’s revival of the film was recently released. So far we only have the first look image. Since the film won’t hit theaters until 2023, we probably won’t get an official trailer until next year. However, I’d be surprised if Netflix doesn’t release teasers or additional images before 2022 is over.
