The Hollywood Reporter asked: “What kind of movie would you love to make, but don’t think anyone would let you do it?” Cage replied that he tried to draw the family mode card on his biological uncle Francis Ford Coppola to star in one of the most successful films of all time.

“This is a very embarrassing answer to your question, OK, because it concerns family. So, uncle [Francis Ford Coppola] Doing Godfather III, and I said, ‘I really think I should be in your movie, Uncle. I really think it’s a good idea if you choose me. I think I can play this part. ‘ He was going to cast Andy Garcia, and I said, ‘But I just see myself as James Caan’s son more, and he plays Sonny’s son. He’s not playing Michael’s son. It’s Sonny’s son. I just feel a little bit more James Caan. “It’s not going to happen. No, it’s not going to happen. So it’s a movie I’m not drawn into that I really want to be in. It’s there.”

We’ll never know what the movie will be like with Cage instead of Garcia, but we can imagine how different the characters will be.
