Nicola Bulley police found “NO evidence of a slip or fall” by the river where the missing mother-of-two disappeared

COPS have announced they have found “no evidence of a slip or fall” while searching for missing mother Nicola Bulley.

The 45-year-old dog walker disappeared after giving birth to her children on Friday April 27.

Since then there has been no trace of the mother of two, leaving her family in torment.

Cops previously revealed their “main working hypothesis” was that Nicola had “sadly” fallen into the icy River Wyre.

Police said they thought she might have fallen in while trying to retrieve her dog Willow’s tennis ball.

However, Superintendent Sally Riley of Lancashire Police later said police found “no evidence of a slip or fall” near the bench where Nicola’s mobile phone was found.

She told the Sunday Times: “I think if it had been a sloping bank a reasonable view would be that you would expect wear and tear.

“If it’s steep and you lose your footing, you might run out of tracks in the grass. All of this has been subjected to a thorough search.”

However, she also thinks it’s unlikely that she was attacked by a third party.

She explained: “If you triangulate all the witnesses, the CCTV, the digital and the phone, the whole picture, it creates such a tiny window for criminal involvement that it becomes highly unlikely.

“This is a low crime area. It’s really a safe, tight-knit area, people look out for each other.

“A third party [being] It’s just unlikely that we haven’t had sightings that we haven’t captured with CCTV or dashcam or all the other things I mentioned.”

It comes after Nicola’s pal Emma White said police are working on getting the data from the fitness watch.

Emma told The Sun: “The Fitbit hasn’t synced since Tuesday.

“The police are trying to get information from it in other ways.”

Insiders report that there are ways to track where a Fitbit is using its app or third-party tracking apps.

A smartphone’s Bluetooth can be used to attempt to connect to fitness watches up to 100 feet away.

Cops previously confirmed detectives were working behind the scenes analyzing CCTV and dash cams “and conducting other digital investigations”.

When asked about Nicola’s watch today, police said they had “no information to release about the Fitbit”.
