What did Nicola’s friend say?

Nicola Bulley’s partner of 12 years, Paul Ansell, remains defiant as the search continues.

Speaking to reporters, he said: “My whole focus is on my two girls, I’m just staying as strong as I can for them.

“I’m afraid that if I focus on anything else, it will take my mind off it.

“I just hope something comes out of yesterday’s interview, no matter how small.”

Paul said he plays “every scenario” back and forth in his head, but each hits a “wall.”

He added, “It’s like she vanished into thin air.”

The father said he will “never lose hope” of finding the missing Nicola.

Paul added: “I can’t believe we’re here a week later and it seems like we’re not further along.

“It just seems absolutely impossible, like a dream.

“I just can’t get my head around it.”
