EX Man United stars Nicky Butt and Ryan Giggs enjoyed a pre-match beer before taking on the Tre Cime Challenge.
Butt, 47, posted pictures to Instagram showing the group enjoying a pint and joked that Guinness and lager “may not be the right fuel”.

Best pal Giggs, 48, sat to the right of the group, holding back under a wool hat.
The challenge sees walkers walking 26 miles and ascending 9,843 feet on Ben Nevis in Scotland, England’s Scafell Pike and Snowdon in Wales.
Last week Giggs posed with fans outside the Railway Pub in Hale, Gtr Manchester, near the home he shares with partner Zara Charles, 33.
He faces a retrial on allegations of assault and coercion and control of his ex Kate Greville, 38.
