Nick Kyrgios fumes at referee for claiming fan smokes marijuana in stands while swearing at US Open

NICK KYRGIOS claimed a fan smoked marijuana on the court at the US Open today.
The ebullient Australian tennis star railed against referee Jaume Campistol during his second-round match in New York.

Kyrgios played against Benjamin Bonzi at Louis Armstrong Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
But something in the crowd at Flushing Meadows seemed to put him off.
In the sixth game of the second set, he turned and yelled at the referee, “Can’t you smell that?”
At the change of sides after the seventh game, he continued his conversation with the referee from his chair.

Kyrgios raged: “You think this is normal? You don’t want to remind anyone not to do it, do you?”
The referee’s response was not included in the broadcast.
But Kyrgios hit back: “It’s not even the kitchen mate, it’s friggin’ marijuana.
“Of course I will not complain about food smells.
“Obviously, if athletes run side by side and already have asthma, that’s not ideal.”
The referee then warned the fans not to smoke in the stadium.
Kyrgios eventually won the match in four sets and secured his place in the third round.
SunSport has reached out to US Open organizers for comment on the incident.
Earlier this summer, Kyrgios accused a spectator at the Wimbledon final of looking “like she’s had about 700 drinks”.
He is being sued for defamation by the fan who was removed from Center Court in the final against Novak Djokovic.
