NFL fans are convinced the New York Jets are “cursed” after Aaron Rodgers was injured just four games into his career with the team

FANS of the New York Jets are convinced the franchise is cursed after new quarterback Aaron Rodgers was injured minutes after his debut.
The four-time MVP, 39, was carted off the field after suffering a suspected ruptured Achilles tendon against the Buffalo Bills.
Rodgers had been introduced to an adoring fan base at MetLife Stadium just minutes before the potentially season-ending injury.
He ran out of the tunnel with an American flag in his hand to deafening cheers.
But the evening quickly turned sour as Rodgers was defeated after just four plays in his opening game as a Jet.
The 10-time Pro Bowler was expected to make the Jets a title contender this season after moving from the Green Bay Packers.

The Jets’ long-suffering fan base has been starved of playoff football since 2010.
And as the drama unfolded in New Jersey, scores of fans took to social media to claim the entire franchise was “cursed.”
One fan raged: “Why did I have to become a Jets fan? WHY.”
Another Jets fanatic said, “Either the Jets are actually cursed or this was literally built into the Hard Knocks season to create more drama.”

The Jets bounced back despite the loss to Rodgers and won the game 22-16 after a thrilling punt return touchdown in overtime by rookie Xavier Gipson.
Rodgers will undergo an MRI today to determine the extent of his injury.
According to NFL Insider Ian Rapaportthe Jets fear he has torn his Achilles tendon.
An injury of this magnitude would cause him to miss the entire 2023 season.
Head coach Robert Saleh also expressed sadness when speaking to reporters after the dramatic overtime win.

Saleh said: “[The injury] is not good. It doesn’t hurt me personally, it doesn’t hurt our locker room either. Aaron hurt me.
“My heart belongs to Aaron and no one else right now.”
