Next season will be “all queer” contestants

Dating show fans, especially Netflix dating shows, are eating well right now. Netflix just announced they have renewed love is blind for two more seasons along with ordering several additional series romantic reality shows. We also just found out that we will get The ultimatum Season 2, although the first season hasn’t even premiered yet!

The ultimatum: get married or move on has a bold premise, even for reality television. The candidates are forced to separate from their current partner and enter into a new “trial marriage” with a completely new person for three weeks. At the end of that time, they must decide whether to marry the person they arrived with, or move on and separate entirely (maybe with the new person?).

The first season premieres on Netflix on Wednesday, April 6th, with the finale airing on April 13th. But before the show’s debut, the streaming service decided to order an extra season — with a twist.

Season 2 will feature all of the queer contestants, which is quite an exciting shake-up. We don’t have many queer dating shows yet, so it will be exciting to see that change as we progress into season two.

Ultimatum Season 2 will feature mostly female contestants

Not just the cast The ultimatum Season 2 focuses on all queer contestants, but it’s mostly women who are featured! If you want to learn more, you can watch the video below for more details.

Having a mostly female dating show is something we rarely see on TV. The closest we’ve probably come to in recent years is Prime Video Tampa Baes series, but this wasn’t a dating competition show. There were a few others, but usually they’re still a mix of straight people and members of the LGBTQIA community, so it’ll be great to see a season dedicated entirely to queer people.

Ultimatum season 2 release date update

It is not yet known when season 2 could appear. I believe Season 2 has already been filmed so it might release later this year, but for now we’re looking forward to seeing the premiere on April 6th!
