News from Russell Brand – Tour dates have been postponed as Met Police investigate alleged sexual assault allegations against TV presenter

What did Daniel Sloss say about Russell Brand?

Comedian Russel Brand has been accused of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse by four women.

The women, including one who was just 16 at the time, are accused of sexual assault between 2006 and 2013, when Brand was at the height of his fame.

The allegations were made as part of a joint investigation by The Times, The Sunday Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches.

Brand vehemently denies the allegations and stated in a video posted online that all of his relationships have been “consensual.”

Sloss was one of the interviewees on the Dispatches’ Russell Brand: In Plain Sight, which aired on September 16, 2023.

Speak with The timesSloss said he first heard “rumors” about Brand’s alleged predatory behavior in the comedy industry more than a decade ago, but that those allegations had no bearing on his work.

“I couldn’t help but say something, from the second I started he was a big name, a big, big, household name, everyone in Britain knows who he is.”

“If you were a comedian and could perform with him, you would perform with a celebrity.

“I would stand in bars with agents, promoters, network commissioners and hear these accusations and rumors in the same room with Russell, and later he would be in a movie, in a TV show, he would be hosting something.” . He was still employed.

He added: “I know there are groups set up by female comedians where they warn each other about comedians and agents, people in the industry to avoid, and I’ve known for many, many years that women warn each other warn. “Russell.”

He also claimed that some cast members had been asked to remove any jokes referencing Russell’s alleged crimes, explaining: “I know there are comedians who have made innuendos and have either been asked or told to stop making those jokes make.”

“Hearing that is intimidating, it’s scary. You don’t know where these people come from or how high they are.”

“Questions that should have been asked about Russell before he was hired for certain duties, I don’t believe they were asked.

“You look at people who are in higher positions of authority in this industry and think, ‘Well, there could have been more done’.”
