Newcastle join Real Madrid in Jude Bellingham’s transfer race while Eddie Howe seeks a shock deal for the Dortmund star
NEWCASTLE have reportedly made bids alongside Real Madrid in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund and English prodigy Jude Bellingham.
Bellingham, 19, is one of the most in-demand teenagers in world football.
His performances at the World Cup last November and December reconfirmed him on the transfer wish lists of some of Europe’s top clubs.
Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City have all been linked with the ex-Birmingham ace.
In mainland Europe, Real Madrid are keen to sign the midfielder.
However, according to SportBild, Real and Co have joined alongside Newcastle in the race to sign Bellingham.
The Magpies fly high in the Premier League, finishing third after 20 games played.
Eddie Howe’s men are on course to secure European football for next season with a Champions League finish in sight.
Newcastle also have a Carabao Cup final to look forward to at the end of the month where they will place Man Utd.
Dortmund are aiming for a record-breaking club sale for Bellingham in the summer.

The German giants value Bellingham at around £125million, which Newcastle may be able to pay given their newly mega-rich status following the Saudi takeover.
Bellingham continues his World Cup form at Club Dortmund.
The midfield Dynamo has scored ten goals in all competitions this season.
Sometimes the captain of the team is also entrusted to him.
