Terence and Barbara Curren were visiting the town with their grandchildren when gunfire erupted.

Terence Curren narrates fox8: “I just prayed that no bullets would get into the houses.”

He added: “You always hear from people just sitting, you know, the kid getting killed while they’re sitting in the house or something.

“I would never bring children here again.”

Data from the Metropolitan Crime Commission also shows shootings are up 8 percent since 2021.

NOPD spokesman Aaron Looney said: “We are actively investigating these shootings and are working very hard to find and bring those responsible to justice.”
