New Jersey Turnpike accident – One dead after bus overturns on entrance ramp, injuring ‘several others’
ONE person is dead after a bus overturned on a motorway slip road in a horrific accident that injured several others.
The fatal accident on the New Jersey Turnpike prompted police to close the roadway while injured victims were flown to a nearby hospital.

The cause of the fatal accident has not yet been confirmed and investigations are ongoing, police said.
The condition of the two injured and hospitalized people is not yet known.
Multiple emergency vehicles were spotted in the chaotic scene in videos posted to Twitter.
“Soldiers responded to an accident involving an overturned bus at 6:53 p.m. on the approach ramp to the New Jersey Turnpike Thomas Edison Service Area from the outside lane in Woodbridge,” New Jersey State Police told The Sun.
“There are multiple injuries with one confirmed fatality. The outer lane and the rest area ramp are closed for the investigation. This is an active investigation.”
Multiple emergency vehicles were seen at the scene in videos posted to social media.
The outer lanes in the area of the accident site were still closed until 8:30 p.m.
