New Jersey Police Department Increases DWI Patrols in December

‘This is the season for celebration, and with the holiday season comes gatherings and talks. But police departments in our area stand ready to hunt down drivers behind the wheel while reveling in additional patrols and checks.

FIRST AND VERY SORRY: Just don’t drink and drive. NO REASON FOR it. You could seriously hurt yourself or others, and that’s what NO one wants, especially during the holidays. Be smart. Hand over your keys or get a shared ride. DON’T BE THAT PERSON.

More than a dozen South Jersey city police have been granted funding to increase vigilance for drivers in our area who may be impaired by alcohol or drugs, report.

New Jersey’s Drive soberly or pass The campaign starts this Friday, December 3 and runs through New Year’s Day. More than $630,000 in funds have been provided to police departments across the state to advance their efforts to issue DWIs to drivers with disabilities.

26 of those police departments are local, including Absecon, Brigantine, Galloway, Hamilton Twp., Hammonton, Linwood, Mullica, Northfield, Pleasantville and Ventnor in Atlantic County.


Camden County, Gloucester Police, Superintendent Haddon Heights and Superintendent Stratford have all received thousands of dollars in funding for Drive Sober and Get Pulled Over.

In Cumberland County, both Millville and Vineland.

Glassboro, Monroe and Washington Twp of Gloucester County. Police will also increase patrols and DWI checkpoints.

Cinnamson, Evesham, Mount Laurel, New Hanover, and Pemberton were included in grants awarded to Burlington County.

Both Twp bottom and top. in Cape May County will attend.

The goal of our holiday Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign is to protect the driving public and save lives by raising awareness of the risks and penalties associated with poor driving and suppress violators. Today, we’re giving everyone a fair warning that the campaign begins on Friday and anyone driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol could be pulled over and arrested.

Those are some severe words that deserve to be on top. You can’t enjoy the holidays if you’re in prison…or worse. BE SAFE OUT ON THE ROAD!
