APPLICATION opens next week for a guaranteed income program that will send $1,000 payments to eligible recipients over 17 months.
Applications open February 25th and for the first time payment will be broadcast on April 15, under the West Hollywood Guaranteed Income Pilot Program (WHPGI).
Only 25 people selected at random from the application process will be eligible for $1,000 a month for the past 17 months California programme.
Applications will be accepted from Friday, February 25 to Sunday, March 6.
All selected participants will be notified between March 14 and March 31. The first monthly cash payment will be distributed on April 15, 2022.
These are the people who are eligible
The program is open to a selected group Eligible candidatebe 50 or older and live in West Hollywood.
It is open to all residents regardless of citizenship status.
To be eligible, applicants must identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gay, heterosexual, or asexual. (LGBTQIA).
WHPGI is funding the program to ensure this money provides older adults who identify as LGBTQIA also have stable housing and an improved quality of life.
The organization found that 43% of West Hollywood’s 36,723 residents identified as LGBT.

Meanwhile, 44 percent of residents living in poverty are adults 55 or older.
Arrive payment accessparticipants will receive a debit card that will be linked to a bank account to receive their monthly deposit.
Recipients do not need an existing bank account to receive funds.
To be eligible, annual household income must be equal to or less than very low income (50 percent of median area income) for the Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Glendale metropolitan areas as determined by United States Department of Housing and Urban Development:

Guaranteed Income Programs offers a monthly cash stipend to accepted participants that is expanding through cities and states across the country.
Eligible Americans are encouraged to apply for the universal basic income programs offered in their city or state.
These programs are usually programs run by the government or sponsored by a non-profit organization, in which accepted participants receive a certain amount of money over a period of time.
In many cases, there are no constraints on how participants use the earnings.
