New England Patriots’ Jack Jones arrested at Logan Airport for ‘bagging two firearms and trying to get them on a plane’

A NEW England Patriots player has been arrested for allegedly attempting to take two firearms on a flight.
Cornerback Jack Jones was about to board a flight when he was arrested at a TSA checkpoint.
Jones, also known as Jackie Jones, was traveling from Boston to his native Arizona when he was stopped at security, according to the Massachusetts State Police, according to local ABC affiliate WCVB.
At around 5:30 p.m., police were called to Terminal B following reports of firearms in carry-on luggage.
“This occurred at approximately 5:20 p.m. EDT during routine X-ray screening of carry-on baggage at the airport security checkpoint,” TSA said in a written statement obtained by WCVB.
Police said Jones faces multiple charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, possession of a large capacity feeder and possession of ammunition without a firearms license.
According to police, Jones was stationed at the State Police Logan Airport barracks.
Bail was set at $50,000, police said.
The Patriots have acknowledged the incident in a statement obtained by Boston25.
“We have been informed that Jack Jones was arrested at Logan Airport early this morning,” a Patriots spokesman told the outlet.
“We are in the process of gathering more information and will not be making any further comments at this time.”
Jones will appear in East Boston District Court next week.
Drafted by the Patriots in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL draft, he was the 121st pick overall.
