New Agent Neon release date set for January 11

Neon will join Valorant on January 11, along with a bunch of new content.

Riot Games just revealed a big update for Valuable substance, including a new agent, warrior, and cosmetic. Fans won’t have to wait long either, with episode 4 slated to premiere on January 11, next Tuesday.

Episode 4, act 1, will also see the launch of the Protocol protocol, as well as a bunch of new loot to get on the front lines. It will set you back 1,000 VP, including free and paid skins.

Yesterday, we got an overview of Neon, as Riot released a short cinematic trailer with some gameplay included. Today’s announcement goes into more detail on what we’ve seen in this trailer, explaining exactly what we can do with her in-game.

She has a unique set of moves, based on electricity and speed. Her abilities include the ability to accelerate, knock out enemies within a certain radius, and even disappear in an electric tunnel – this hurts anyone who tries to track her down. With her attacks coming fast, ambushing enemies before they can react, it’s fair to say she’ll likely make up for it by not being the strongest agent in the game. Her description and appearance in the trailer definitely makes her a glass cannon.

We don’t have all the details yet, but Riot gave us a look at some of the free loot we can expect to see:

  • Velocity Shorty w / Variations

  • Activity: Broken bone player card

  • Valentine’s Tactics Player Cards

  • Chicken Out Gun Buddy

  • Spray connection lost

As for the paid content, the developers revealed some highlights ahead of its release:

  • Velocity Karambit w / Variations

  • Destruction scheme

  • Velocity Phantom w / Variant

  • Hydrodip Frenzy

  • Unstoppable // Sage . Player Card

  • The Valentine’s Day Player Card Series Is Mine

  • Big Brain Gun Buddy

  • Nice One Spray

If you want to try all this out for yourself, Valorant is free to play on PC only. A mobile portal was announced last year, which finally opened up the hero shooter to more players.
