Netflix’s Bridgerton prequel spin-off finally has an official title

Netflix Bridgeton Prequel series finally has an official title! The streamer hasn’t made a big reveal yet, but it’s expected to be announced at TUDUM on September 24, along with other details about the upcoming period drama.
We’re super excited for the TUDUM event because so many of our favorite Netflix shows are included in the lineup. We’re talking Emily in Paris, Squid Game, stranger things, The Witcher, You, Outer Banks, elite, Bridgeton and many others. In addition, some highly anticipated Netflix movies will also be shown at the event, such as: slumberland, extraction 2, The School of Good and Evil, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Enola Holmes 2 etc.
But I know I’m not speaking for myself when I say that one of the Netflix titles I’m most looking forward to is this Bridgeton Precursor. According to an Instagram post from director Tom Verica, production recently wrapped on Aug. 30. So I’m wondering what will be discussed and revealed about the show at the event. Could the release date or release window be revealed? Or maybe a teaser will be released. We’ll just have to wait and see. Luckily, the streamer shared the official title to hold us until the September 24 event.
What is the official title of the Bridgerton prequel series?
drum roll please The official title for the Bridgeton precursor is Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story! A very fitting title I think. We previously reported that the working title for the prequel was Queen Charlotte. However, it looks like the creative team behind the series wanted to make it more unique by adding more to the title. And why not include the hit show it’s a spin-off of?
So how did we find out the official title? Well, when Netflix released the list of shows and movies to be shown at TUDUM, we noticed that a show titled Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story was included in the list. Next to Bridgetonthere’s only one other Netflix show that has Queen Charlotte in it, and that’s it Bridgeton Precursor.
I find it odd that Netflix decided to announce the title this way. Netflix could have just used the working title or Bridgeton Prequel and waiting to announce the official title at TUDUM. However, I’m pretty sure there will be an official announcement when the event comes around Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
Make sure to tune in and stream Netflix’s global TUDUM fan event on September 24 for more interesting details about it Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
