Netflix games on smart TVs under limited beta test

Netflix games may soon be available on smart TVs as they are currently in beta testing, the company said.
A game controller for the app was unveiled just last week, meaning the streaming service plans to roll out its games section to the smart TV platform. Back then, games didn’t exist on smart TV models and set-top boxes like the Apple TV, but that could soon change.

Netflix said its mobile games will undergo limited beta testing for a small group in the UK and Canada and across multiple Macs, PCs and smart TVs. The tryouts are Molehew’s Mining Adventure and Oxenfree. The beta testers have access to the controller app when playing on smart TVs. With computers, the testers can use either a mouse or a keyboard. Netflix hasn’t said when the games will be released to the public.
